House Bekker - Greenside

Upon entering, we were captivated by the wooden flooring and spiral staircase immediately. This space screamed Modern Mid-century.

To elevate the overall aesthetic of the home, we focused on complementing the flooring with neutral colours and warm accents. We prioritised durability and aesthetics alike to not only attract guests to this short-term rental apartment, but to also ensure that the furniture, fixtures and equipment used can withstand the test of time. 

By strategically using warmer colours, we further accentuated the wooden elements and used neutrals and greens to create a soothing atmosphere. This assisted in achieving balance and harmony within each space and ensured a seamless flow throughout the entire house. 

In adding a finishing touch to the staircase area, wallpaper became the perfect element because of its ability to enhance the Mid-century look and feel. We particularly love how the colours and shapes seamlessly transition into the lounge area to complete the cohesive design.
